KUALA LUMPUR: An Irish automotive content creator has recounted his experience after police checks disrupted a car gathering he attended here.
Andy Horward said in a
Facebook video posted Sunday that the group had met at a paid public car park to meet supporters and showcase his drift car as part of his charity drive from Australia to Ireland.

He described the atmosphere inside the car park as calm, but claimed some drivers outside the area were revving engines and making loud exhaust noises alongside noisy motorcycles.
Police officers later arrived and blocked vehicles inside the car park while checks were conducted, temporarily preventing anyone from leaving.
Andy said he had asked for his vehicle to be inspected so he could depart, but was told to wait, adding that officers might have needed additional personnel or superiors before proceeding.
He claimed several vehicles were impounded and some individuals were taken to the police station overnight, expressing sadness that those affected were not responsible for the disturbance outside the car park.
The incident drew mixed reactions online, with some citing possible language barriers and others saying police were responding to complaints, while Andy thanked supporters who attended and hoped those involved would resolve their cases soon.
