Kota Kinabalu: The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) Sabah Chapter said it views seriously any allegation touching on integrity and governance in matters related to the supply of airline tickets.
Its Chairman, Mohd Azlan Saleh Abd Salam, said the association is committed to providing full cooperation to the authorities and to respecting the investigation process currently underway.
“All business dealings must be conducted in a transparent and accountable manner, in compliance with financial procedures and regulations set by the relevant authorities,” he said.
Azlan was responding to the arrest of four officers from a federal statutory body and two travel agency employees by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in Sabah on Feb 9 over suspected false claims involving flight ticket purchases worth about RM1.3 million.
