Kota Kinabalu: Leadership transformation begins with people, not systems or strategy, said Dato George Lim, as he addressed members of JCI Tanjung Aru during its 2026 leadership transition ceremony in here, recently.
George said leadership transitions should be viewed not merely as a change of office bearers, but as a continuation of trust, responsibility and purpose in carrying forward a mission larger than any individual.
Drawing from his 27-year leadership journey, he stressed that meaningful transformation starts with values, culture and personal responsibility, adding that growth in leaders naturally leads to organisational progress.
“True breakthroughs happen when purpose guides our actions and balance anchors our lives — in business, family, community and service,” he said, reflecting on lessons gained over decades of leadership experience.
