KOTA KINABALU: The mother of Student A told the Coroner’s Court that her daughter has continued to face public criticism following the incident involving Zara Qairina Mahathir, including being labelled a “murderer”.
The 62nd deponent said the family came under heavy pressure from netizens during the week her daughter was charged, adding that she was among five students charged in the Court For Children in connection with Zara’s incident.

Reading her witness statement before Coroner Amir Shah Amir Hassan, she said her child’s name and personal details were widely circulated on social media.
She added that people attempted to track her child’s whereabouts, with the family’s movements allegedly becoming known whenever they left or returned home.
