Kota Kinabalu: Deputy Chief Minister II Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun donated RM10,000 to Junior Chamber International Kota Kinabalu (JCIKK) during its 64th Installation and Awards Banquet 2026 at the Putera Ballroom, here, recently.
He said the contribution was “a small token” of his appreciation for the organisation’s service to the community.
“JCIKK has played an important role in nurturing capable, principled and community-minded young leaders. Through sustained leadership development and impactful initiatives, the chapter has contributed meaningfully to the advancement of Kota Kinabalu and Sabah,” Masidi said.
During the installation banquet, Snowy Chang was installed as the new JCIKK President for 2026, replacing Ng Kang Jie.
Masidi, who is also JCIKK Senator, also praised Kang Jie, saying he had “performed exceptionally well” and had brought great value to the organisation through his leadership.
He said JCIKK leaders served on a voluntary basis, adding “true voluntary organisations are driven by service, love and hard work, not by institutions or formality.”
