Kota Kinabalu: Collaboration in the field of higher education has been identified as a key driver in strengthening bilateral relations between Poland and Sabah.
Polish Ambassador to Malaysia Krzysztof Dariusz Dobrowski
(left) said links between universities have the potential to provide academic benefits and broaden social and cultural exchanges between the two nations.
“We see great potential for establishing closer ties between universities in Poland and Sabah.
“Through this, students from both countries can gain a deeper understanding of each other’s culture and society.
“When students visit another country, they get to know the culture and people of that nation better. This is a very important aspect,” he said after paying a courtesy call on Head of State Tun Musa Aman at Istana Seri Kinabalu, here, Friday.
In addition to education, Dobrowski highlighted the potential for cooperation in the renewable energy and hydrogen sectors, while also anticipating an increase in Polish tourists to Malaysia in conjunction with the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign.
Meanwhile, Musa also received a courtesy call from Pakistan High Commissioner Syed Ahsan Raza Shah, aimed at empowering economic development, including positioning Pakistan as a market for palm oil from Sabah.
Syed Ahsan noted the importance of Sabah in Malaysia’s development, while recognising the country as a developing Muslim nation that serves as a reference point for Pakistan.
