KINABATANGAN: The Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry (Kuskop) has committed to facilitating and expediting entrepreneurs’ financing applications under its agencies to within five working days, said Deputy Minister Datuk Mohamad Alamin.
He said the move is aimed at shortening applicants’ waiting periods compared with previous delays, adding that financing provided through Kuskop agencies has increased year on year to support more micro, small and medium enterprises.

Mohamad said Kuskop agencies, SME Corp Malaysia and others have also been asked to help applicants better understand available information, including strategies to penetrate larger markets, which is part of the ministry’s approach.
He told reporters after officiating the Kinabatangan Madani Cooperative and Entrepreneurs Sale (JMKU) at the Batu Puteh Kinabatangan Tourism Cooperative (Kopel) here on Wednesday, where RM11.7 million in Malaysian Cooperative Commission revolving capital financing was presented to Kopel, alongside financing to several traders from Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) and Tekun Nasional.
Mohamad said that in 2025, Kuskop approved and channelled RM1.89 million in incentives to reduce prices of basic necessities under 53 Jualan Madani programmes nationwide, recording RM6.074 million in sales and benefiting 121,491 people.
