TAWAU: A woman was left shocked after discovering her new husband had allegedly recorded and stored explicit videos of her and her two daughters without their knowledge while they were using the bathroom in Kampung Tanjung Batu Laut on Sunday.
Police said the victim lodged a report at about 6.27pm, leading to the arrest of the suspect, a 39-year-old local labourer, about one hour and 40 minutes later.

Investigations revealed 10 video clips stored on the suspect’s smartphone, believed to have been secretly recorded.
The case was uncovered after one of the daughters, aged 12, found the phone hidden near the bathroom. The device was still actively recording when discovered and was immediately handed to the victim.
The suspect was taken to the Tawau District Police Headquarters for further investigation under Section 377D of the Penal Code for committing an indecent act and Section 509 for insulting the modesty of others.
Police reminded the public that firm action will be taken against anyone involved in immoral acts or violations of personal privacy.
