TAWAU: A woman and a man were charged in the High Court here Tuesday with killing the woman’s husband in Lahad Datu, two years ago.
Suriani Anton, 46, and Dimas Hardi Muhammad Nur Kholik, 31, pleaded not guilty after the charge against them were read before Judge Steve Ritikos.

The two are accused of killing one Lim Chee Yong, 51, at 4.10am on Oct 31, 2024 at Jalan POIC, Lahad Datu.
The offence, under Section 302 of the Penal Code and read together with Section 34 of the same Code, carries the death sentence, or a jail term of between 30 and 40 years if not death sentence, and whipping of at least 12 strokes, on conviction.
The court set Feb 27, this year for case management and the duo were ordered remanded further pending the date as the charge has no provision for bail.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Nur Nisla Abdul Latif appeared for the prosecution while counsel Jheseny P. Kang represented Suraini, while Dimas, a former worker of the victim, was not represented.
