Damage involved student furniture, IT equipment and teachers’ facilities.
The Sabah State Education Department has been directed to supply about 300 sets of student desks and chairs, replace around 10 damaged computers and one printer, and provide 40 sets of desks and chairs for teachers.
All items are to be delivered before the school session reopens next Monday.
The minister also expressed appreciation to the State Education Department, Fire and Rescue Department, Royal Malaysia Police and other agencies for their swift response in cleanup and recovery efforts.
Several other schools were also affected by the floods.
The ministry will continue monitoring the situation and mobilise government-linked companies under its purview to provide additional assistance where needed.
