KOTA KINABALU: A flood disaster was officially declared in Kota Kinabalu at 9pm on Saturday following reports and ground assessments received by district disaster agencies, according to Mayor Datuk Seri Sabin Samitah.
Sabin said the declaration was made after agencies under the District Disaster Management Committee confirmed flooding affecting parts of the city on Jan 3.
