Kota Kinabalu: Permai Polyclinics spread festive cheer by organising a Christmas Charity Health Drive at Sri Pritchard Old Folks Home, providing free health screenings and companionship to elderly residents.
A team of 12 staff members, led by Permai Polyclinics Group co-founder Datin Rachel Jeremiah and Group General Manager Datin Norsiah Kumar, spent the morning engaging with residents and sharing meaningful interactions.

As part of the programme, four nurse stations were set up for blood taking, sponsored by Pathlab Laboratory Kota Kinabalu, enabling 64 residents to undergo free health screenings aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and early detection.
In addition, Permai Polyclinics distributed Christmas presents to all participating residents, followed by a shared breakfast and lunch with the residents.
Recognising that many elderly residents may not have family to celebrate the festive season with, the team also introduced a nail care station, providing personal care and one-on-one interaction that brought smiles and a sense of connection.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, Sticky Rice Travel founder Charles Ryan volunteered as Santa Claus, personally handing out gifts and spreading laughter throughout the home.
The Christmas Charity Drive concluded with residents enjoying good food, thoughtful gifts and shared moments, leaving behind cherished memories and a renewed sense of joy for the holiday season.
Permai Polyclinics said it remains committed to giving back to the community and will continue initiatives that promote health, compassion and human connection.
