KOTA BELUD: A multi-agency search and rescue operation is underway for an 83-year-old woman reported missing in Kampung Tambulion Laut, with firefighters placing safety nets at a river dam as part of containment efforts.
The victim, Minun Kasim, was last seen in the village at about 5.30pm on Tuesday.

The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 7.30am and deployed 11 personnel from the Kota Belud station to the area, located about nine kilometres away.
Search operations began at 11.05am, focusing on riverbanks near the suspension bridge.
Firefighters installed nets at the river dam to prevent possible downstream movement, while a K9 unit conducted searches along the riverbanks.
Police and the Civil Defence Force also carried out ground searches, assisted by RELA members and villagers.
Despite efforts throughout the day, the woman was not found.
The operation was suspended at 6pm and will resume on Dec 17.
