Tenom: “I may be young, but I am not to be underestimated,” said Priscella Peter, the Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) candidate for Melalap, expressing confidence ahead of the Nov 29 election.
Priscella said age should not define one’s leadership capability, emphasising that determination and commitment to the people are the true pillars of public service.

Her active involvement with local communities, she said, has given her a clear understanding of the needs and challenges faced by residents.
“The current political landscape calls for more young and capable individuals to step forward, so their voices are reflected in future development policies,” she said at PDM Saga.
Priscella believes her campaign is strengthened by continuing the legacy of her father, Datuk Peter Anthony, who previously held the Melalap seat.
She said the service foundation established by her father provides a strong platform to continue development efforts that people are hoping to see.
Positive responses from the community throughout the campaign have boosted her confidence that voters appreciate the effort shown.
Priscella remains optimistic that Melalap voters will assess candidates based on capability and vision for change, rather than age or experience alone.
