LAHAD DATU: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) N.60 Tungku candidate, Datuk Abdul Hakim Gulam Hassan plans to upgrade Tunku from a sub-district into a full district for better opportunities and public services for the people.
Abdul Hakim said, Tungku’s growth has created a natural need for a more comprehensive administrative structure that can respond more effectively to community priorities.

He said that securing full district status would bring more resources, allowing local authorities to manage development plans for Tungku.
“Improving infrastructure covering roads, utilities, and public amenities will be our focus for the people here.
“We will also work to upgrade internet access as some parts of Tungku still experience weak or inconsistent internet access that may affects community activities,” he said.
Abdul Hakim said this when met during a programme with community at Dewan Sri Ladtang, Tungku, on Saturday.
In his speech, Abdul Hakim also expressed gratitude for the steadily increasing support he has received during the campaign and hopes to continue working closely with villagers to turn the district plan into a shared achievement.
He said, people supports towards him and GRS showed that GRS’s efforts in developing the state while prioritizing the people has reach the peoples’ heart.
“We want nothing but the best for Tungku, we want to bring more development and improve infrastructure as well as facilities in this area to bring benefits for the people,” he added.
