Beaufort PKR denies defection to Warisan
Dikin, Malek and Bodingin.
BEAUFORT: Beaufort PKR Division Head Dikin Musah has rejected claims that 28 party leaders recently joined Parti Warisan.

He claimed only three people switched parties, brought over by Abdullah Okin.

“The three who left were appointed branch committee members. Some others who attended the meeting were from the youth and wanita’s wings, plus regular PKR members who are not on the branch committee,” he said in reaction to recent reports of Klias PKR members joining Warisan.

Dikin claimed the group was taken to meet Warisan President Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal because they wanted to hear directly whether Abdullah Okin would be chosen as Warisan’s candidate in the upcoming state election.

Kota Kinabalu: KOTA KINABALU: Fiesta Mega Raya (FMR) 2026 is set to be the largest and most prestigious Hari Raya celebration in Sabah, taking place from March 7 to 18, at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), here.
However, Dikin claimed that Shafie only told them that candidates had not been finalised yet.

“All the names read out by the Warisan President came from a list prepared by Abdullah. Those people named have denied leaving PKR,” he said.

Among those at the meeting was the appointed wanita vice chief, who is Abdullah Okin’s wife and with three elected wanita wing members. The youth vice chief, who is Abdullah’s son and won his position through elections, was also present.

Meanwhile, Beaufort PKR branch committee member Malek Yusof also denied leaving the party.

He said his name was wrongly linked to joining Warisan when he remains a PKR member and has never resigned.

Abdullah is a former Beaufort Umno deputy division chief who previously joined Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS) and stood as their candidate in the 2020 state election.

He later left PCS to join PKR and ran for branch chief in the 2025 party elections but lost to Dikin Musah. He was then appointed branch treasurer and Klias state seat coordinator.
