SANDAKAN: The Sessions Court here on Friday fixed July 27 for the re-mention of a rape case involving a 19-year-old man pending an updated medical report on the 61-year-old complainant.
Judge Roslinda Razali set the date after the charge against Alimanja Aroiski, who has no identification documents, was read to him and no plea was recorded.

He is accused of raping the woman after allegedly breaking into her house in Taman Megah through a window at about 1.30am on March 21.
The court heard that the accused allegedly threatened the victim with an object believed to be a pair of scissors, demanded money and jewellery, assaulted her and tied her hands before taking a gold bracelet and two mobile phones.
In a separate case, Alimanja was sentenced by the same court on Thursday to 14 years' imprisonment and eight strokes of the cane after pleading guilty to robbery and causing injury to the victim, and was ordered to be referred to the Immigration Department for deportation upon completing his sentence.
