LAHAD DATU: A two-storey house, six vehicles and four motorcycles were destroyed in fire at Kampung Bumiputera Silam, Lorong Usman Duri, here, on Sunday.
District Fire and Rescue station chief, Sumsoa Rashid said his department received a distress call following the incident at 1.38pm.

A team of nine firefighters was deployed to the scene in a fire engine and EMRS vehicle. The operation was also assisted by the Silam Volunteer Firefighters Team.
Upon arrival, the commander of the operation reported that the fire involved a two-storey house, six vehicles (Protin Saga FLX, Proton Wira, Perodua Myvi, Perodua Axia, Proton Iswara and Proton Perdana) as well as four motorcycles.
“The team carried out an operation to extinguish the fire using a 200 feet stream with two sprouts, using water sources from the fire engine.
“The fire was put under the control at 2.39pm,” he said, adding that the house and all the vehicles were completely destroyed in the incident.
No casualty was reported in the incident. The operation ended at 4.08pm after the team made sure there was no other danger at the scene.
Meanwhile in Semporna, a house in Jalan Labuan Senang, Kampung Bugaya was destroyed in a fire on Saturday.
The Fire and Rescue department received a distress call following the incident at 11.13am and deployed a team of seven firefighters in two machineries to the scene.
The fire was put under control at 11.26am. No casualty was reported, however, the fire destroyed the upper side of the two-storey house.
