Andy Lau’s wife Carol Chu praised for low-key supermarket outing in HK
HONG KONG: A netizen recently shared a chance encounter with former Malaysian model Carol Chu while shopping at a supermarket in Hong Kong.

According to the post, Carol was dressed in a loose white top, black wide-leg trousers and white sneakers, and was carrying a tote bag from French luxury brand Goyard.

Carol, who married Andy Lau in 2008 after a long private relationship, shares a daughter, Hanna Lau, who was born in 2012.

The netizen said Carol was accompanied by a domestic helper and was seen shopping for household necessities while carefully examining products and reading labels.

The poster said they did not initially recognise Carol because of her low-key appearance and only realised her identity after taking a closer look.

“For a 60-year-old, her skin practically glows, and her hair is thick, black and healthy. She really doesn't look her age at all,” the netizen wrote.

The poster also expressed surprise at seeing Carol personally selecting fresh fruit at the supermarket, adding: “I'm really impressed. She dresses modestly and doesn't show off. Despite being so wealthy, she still comes to the supermarket to shop for things herself. She lives even more low-key than ordinary people like us.”
