SEOUL: A white lion at a zoo in South Korea has gone viral on social media after photos and videos of the animal’s rare pale coat attracted widespread attention.

The lion, shared online as Luna, has been described by netizens as having a unique and almost fantasy-like appearance, with many praising its beauty.

Despite its unusual colouring, the lion is not an albino. 

The pale coat is linked to leucism, a rare genetic condition that affects pigmentation while leaving the eyes and skin with their natural colour.

Wildlife enthusiasts said the animal’s appearance highlights the rarity and uniqueness of white lions, which remain a fascination among animal lovers worldwide.
