MIRI: A photo showing a “May Pet” signboard next to a Maybank branch in Miri has gone viral, with netizens amused by the similar branding and wordplay.

The image, shared by @ray_naimbar, sparked various humorous reactions online, with some joking about accidentally walking into the wrong place while looking for an ATM, while others praised the creativity behind the signboard.

“Creativity level 3000,” one user commented, while another joked: “Maybank takes money (profit), MayPet gives money out (loss) — a check and balance.”

Others described it as a uniquely Sarawak-style creativity, with some saying the unexpected pairing was “too funny” and worth taking a photo of.
