SANDAKAN: About 900 community leaders and grassroots representatives attended an integrity and governance programme organised by UPPM with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) Secretariat.
The participants, from five parliamentary areas including Sandakan and Kinabatangan, comprised village heads, JKKK members and native leaders who act as key links between the government and local communities.

State UPPM administrative officer Datu Hadzizan Suli, representing director Datuk Awang Kadin Tang, said the programme aims to strengthen awareness on integrity, anti-corruption and ethical values.
It also outlined the direction of Sabah Maju Jaya 2.0, focusing on sustainable development, economic prosperity and public wellbeing.
