TAMPARULI: Three semi-permanent houses and four vehicles were damaged in a fire behind St Philip Church here early Tuesday morning.

The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 12.45am and firefighters from Tuaran and Lintas Fire and Rescue Stations arrived at the scene at 1.01am.

Two of the semi-permanent houses were destroyed, while a third house sustained 50 per cent damage, with no casualties reported.

The fire also destroyed a Proton Satria, Perodua Viva and Mercedes, while an Isuzu D-Max sustained 20 per cent damage, and the operation was brought under control at 2.11am before ending at 3am.
