KOTA KINABALU: Food, dance and merriment await visitors as the State-level Kaamatan Festival 2026 reaches its grand finale on May 30 and 31 at Hongkod Koisaan in Penampang.
Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam, who chairs the festival's main committe, said the two-day culmination caps a month-long harvest festival celebration, with the Prime Minister set to officiate the opening ceremony.
A highlight of this year's festivities is the Malaysia Book of Records presentation to the Kadazan Dusun Cultural Association on May 31, recognising the Kaamatan Festival as the longest harvest festival celebration in Malaysia.
New additions this year include the Jungle Food Labs on May 29.
