Kota Kinabalu: Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia Chairman Datuk Yusuf Abd Wahab said artificial intelligence will not make skilled construction workers redundant but will enhance their effectiveness on site.“Graduates must first master trade fundamentals before applying AI tools,” he said, after officiating the 12th Malaysian Construction Academy (ABM) and CIDB Technologies Graduation Ceremony here, Thursday.

He said a 94 per cent employment rate among past graduates showed strong industry demand for locally trained construction workers.

Meanwhile, the ceremony saw 150 young Sabahans graduating under the ABM and CIDB Technologies, covering trades such as welding, scaffolding, piping, painting and blasting.
