Kota Kinabalu: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the Sabah Council of Datuks (MDNS) should continue to play an active role in contributing ideas, views and support towards the State’s development efforts.
Masidi, who is also Finance Minister, encouraged MDNS to carry out welfare and community activities as well as support the State Government in social, economic and educational programmes.

He said MDNS should also be more involved in community outreach programmes to engage with the people and better understand the needs of communities at the grassroots level.
Masidi said this after receiving a courtesy call from an MDNS delegation led by Datuk Claudius Roman at his office.
He said the visit would strengthen ties and enhance cooperation between the State Government and MDNS in various aspects of development for the wellbeing of the people in Sabah.
