“To ensure the comfort and safety of the public, the Penampang Municipal Council has carried out comprehensive logistical coordination, including providing sufficient parking areas for VIPs and the general public.
“In terms of safety and traffic control, we are working closely with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), the Malaysian Volunteer Corps Department (Rela), the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM), as well as the Health Department, all of whom will be on standby at the event site,” she said during an interview session on the Penampang District Kaamatan Festival celebration here on Tuesday.
In line with this year’s theme, “Kaamatan: Harvesting Unity, Celebrating Harmony,” she hopes the celebration will foster a spirit of togetherness among the Kadazandusun community as well as people of various races in the district.
