TAWAU: A 54-year-old part-time tuition teacher, who was previously sentenced to 165 years’ jail and 110 strokes of the cane for raping his two biological daughters in Lahad Datu, was charged in the Sessions Court here, Wednesday, with seven counts of raping his eldest daughter.

The accused, from Lahad Datu, pleaded guilty to all seven charges read before Judge Ahmad Faizadh Yahaya, but the court fixed June 23 for mention pending the victim’s medical report.

According to the charges, the accused allegedly raped his 25-year-old daughter, a civil servant holding a professional post, in seven separate incidents at three hotels in Jalan Bakau, Jalan Dunlop and Jalan Masjid here between Dec 4 and March 19.

The offences were allegedly committed between Dec 4 and 6 in Jalan Bakau; Dec 18 and 19, 2025; Jan 11 and 12; Jan 29 and 30; Feb 25 and 26; March 1 and 3 in Jalan Dunlop; and March 18 and 19, 2026 in Jalan Masjid.

The charges were framed under Section 376(3) of the Penal Code, which provides for up to 30 years’ jail and 10 strokes of the cane upon conviction, while the prosecution was conducted by Deputy Public Prosecutor Muhammad Haikal Hazwan Md Yatin and the unrepresented accused appeared in court wearing orange prison attire.
