KOTA KINABALU: Former Federal Minister Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz says Malaysians should step back and ask where the nation is heading with corruption and abuse of authority reported almost daily in the media.
“In a world, where material things tend to be sought and prioritised, good values and principles are often ignored. Even self-esteem has become irrelevant. All these tend to give room for the negatives.
“As the days go by, we may have to continue to face the wrongs to society and nation, when those with authority and positions of power, continue with abuses and misdeeds almost with impunity,” she lamented.
Under the cirumstances, Rafidah said, there will be challenges to be addressed and overcome, triggered by issues and negativities within the global and domestic environments.
