Father, now serving 165 years in jail, charged with raping eldest daughter

TAWAU: A 54-year-old man, who was previously sentenced to 165 years and 110 strokes of the cane for raping his two daughters in Lahad Datu, was charged with another seven charges for raping his eldest daughter.

The man, who was a part-time tuition teacher, pleaded guilty before Sessions Court Judge Hurman Ahmad Faizadh Yahaya, to all the charges against him on Wednesday.

However, the man’s sentencing was deferred to June 23 pending the alleged victim’s medical report.

On the first to seventh count, the man is accused of raping the 25-year-old daughter who is a civil servant between December 2025 and March this year in three different hotels, here.

As record, this case drew widespread attention after the Sessions Court in Lahad Datu sentenced the man to 165 years’ imprisonment and 110 strokes of the cane on 11 charges for raping his other two daughter.

It was reported that both victims were raped by their father since they were 15 and 18 and the father would threaten to hit them if they refused to his desire.

The man was arrested after police reports were filed by his two daughters at a local police station on March 22 this year.
