KENINGAU: A man was arrested during Ops Laras for allegedly possessing unlicensed homemade firearms and air rifles.
Police seized two bakakuk barrels, two air rifle barrels and 20 pellets from his home in Sook.
The 44-year-old farmer claimed the weapons were inherited and bought for hunting.
The case is being investigated under the Arms Act 1960, and he will be remanded for further investigation.
