KOTA KINABALU: Tempasuk Assemblyman Datuk Mohd Arsad Bistari has highlighted a water supply shortfall in Kota Belud of about 4.4 million litres daily, urging urgent upgrades to water infrastructure and studies on mini dam development.
He also called for stronger food security measures, including raising Sabah’s rice self-sufficiency to 30–40 per cent, expanding kitchen garden programmes, and boosting local food production to ease cost of living pressures.

On rural development, he raised the need for housing repair assistance for dilapidated inherited homes, urgent upgrades to sports and road infrastructure in Kota Belud, and expansion of freshwater aquaculture to create income opportunities.
