TUARAN: This year's Randawi Tavantang Kaamatan (RTK) competition season opened with three district/sub-district winners crowned at the RTK Tuaran final on Saturday night here.
Kristern Olwen Jafili, 21, won the RTK Tuaran crown, while Daniel Chrionie Taning, 30, clinched the RTK Tamparuli championship and Hassan Der, 24, took the RTK Kiulu title.
Each winner received RM3,000, a trophy, a custom-made
sundi’ (traditional Suang Lotud headpiece), and sponsored items and services.
All three winners will compete at the State-level competition at the KDCA Hall, in Penampang, next month.
Ezra Mark Shynno finished second to receive RM2,000, a trophy, and sponsored items and services, while Adrie Hairold Damanih placed third to win RM1,500, a trophy, and sponsored items and services.
The other finalists were Browell Ginsawat, Daniel Heiron Gom, and Einer Equest Kuyun.

The Sodop Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan (UNK) Tuaran 2026 was also held on the same night, featuring several awards including best design and natural beauty.
Tuaran MP Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau attended the event representing Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and presented the main prizes.
