Musa said the move to expand the network of industrial parks is vital to ensuring more balanced economic development and providing spill over benefits to rural areas.

In the meantime, he said the State Government is also focusing on empowering the entrepreneurial ecosystem through a more structured and integrated approach.

According to him, the State Entrepreneurship Development Programme has been strengthened by centralising and monitoring all entrepreneurship programmes under the supervision of the Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transportation Ministry.

He said this approach allows aspects of governance, marketing, guidance, training and entrepreneur skills development to be implemented in a more focused and systematic manner.

“Through this programme, aspects of governance, marketing, guidance, training and entrepreneur skills development can be implemented more precisely, structurally and in an integrated manner,” he said.

Meanwhile, Tun Musa said the manufacturing sector is also being strengthened through various initiatives to support the production and commercialisation of local Sabah products.

According to him, these efforts not only increase the competitiveness of local products but also create broader opportunities for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) entrepreneurs.

“The manufacturing sector is also being bolstered through various initiatives to support the production and commercialisation of local Sabah products,” he said.

He said the State Government is aiming for an increase in the number of local products capable of penetrating international export markets.

“Through these efforts, the State Government aims for an increase in the number of local products for international export markets, which will in turn open up opportunities for Sabah’s Small and Medium Enterprise entrepreneurs,” he said.

Musa emphasised that the strengthening of the industrial, entrepreneurial and manufacturing sectors will serve as a vital catalyst for more sustainable and inclusive State economic growth.
