 New Beaufort Police Chief
Sabah Deputy Police Commissioner witnesses the handover of duties at IPD Beaufort.
BEAUFORT: Supt Champin Piuh has been appointed as the new District Police Chief of Beaufort, following a change of command at the Beaufort District Police Headquarters (IPD), Friday.

He takes over from Wong Leong Meng, who has been promoted to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and transferred to the Sabah Police Contingent Headquarters in Kepayan.

The handover ceremony was held at 8am at the IPD Beaufort Multipurpose Hall and was witnessed by Sabah Deputy Police Commissioner Abdul Rani Alias.

Wong served as Beaufort District Police Chief for one year and five months. Champin was previously stationed in Tawau.
