Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Local Artists Association (Pertisa) is bringing a new spirit to empower Sabah’s local arts industry to be more sustainable, competitive and provide comprehensive benefits to members and the community.
The new leadership under President Guadik Ansiw @ Adex has charted a new course for the 2026-2028 session with a clearer and more structured vision through strategic planning for the period of the next three years.
Over the next three years, Adex said, Pertisa will focus on efforts to expand economic opportunities for artists by not only relying on the music and entertainment fields.
He said, among the sectors given attention are tourism, agriculture and other creative industries that have the potential to improve the economic status of Sabah’s local arts activists.
