Zara found in critical condition with lowest coma score
KOTA KINABALU: Zara Qairina Mahathir was discovered unconscious with the lowest possible Glasgow Coma Scale reading of 3 out of 15, the Coroner’s Court heard Tuesday, indicating a critically severe condition.

Assistant Medical Officer Mohd Faiszal Md Saimi, 40, testified that he monitored the victim’s vital signs during transport to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, which remained stable, including blood pressure of 108/83 mmHg, pulse rate of 82, respiratory rate of 20, and oxygen saturation at 98pc on room air.

He said oxygen was administered via a high-flow mask and a green cannula was inserted into the victim’s right hand.

Mohd Faiszal also stated that he did not observe any visible injury to the back of the victim’s head due to her thick hair and the urgency of maintaining airway stability.
