“Courage in making decisions is the key to a brighter future. Do not be afraid to explore new fields as long as they benefit you and align with your potential,” he said.
Masidi said this when officiating the Form Six Appreciation and Graduation Ceremony of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Mat Salleh Ranau, held at Hotel Perkasa.
He noted that the transition from school to higher education or the workforce requires strong mental and emotional readiness, as well as openness to learning new things.
Masidi also encouraged school leavers to be independent, including managing their own lives and making mature decisions for their future.

“The ability to be independent will build strong character and help you face life’s challenges with confidence and competitiveness,” he said.
He also urged school leavers to consider agriculture as a career option, noting that the sector is now a key contributor to the economy and food supply.
According to him, modern agriculture has evolved beyond traditional methods, incorporating technology and innovation that can generate lucrative income.
“Agriculture has great potential. With modern approaches and creativity, it can become a stable source of income and open up entrepreneurial opportunities for young people,” he said.
He added that youth involvement in the sector is crucial to ensure the industry’s sustainability and to enhance the nation’s competitiveness in the future.
During the event, Masidi also announced a contribution of RM10,000 to the school as a token of appreciation for its commitment to educating students, particularly Form Six teachers.
He said the contribution is expected to help improve facilities and support the school’s efforts in producing outstanding and competitive students.
A total of 108 students received their Form Six graduation certificates for Semester 3 of the 2025 session during the ceremony.
