JERANTUT: The Pahang state government will provide a special incentive to composer Joy Ngiaw following her win at the 4th Children’s and Family Emmy Awards held in New York on March 2.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the incentive would serve as a token of appreciation for the Pahang-born composer’s achievement on the international stage.

“I would like to congratulate and thank Joy Ngiaw for bringing pride to the state of Pahang and the country. I hope she will continue to excel,” he told reporters after announcing the 2026 dividend of Koperasi Serbausaha Makmur Bhd (Kosma) at the Jerantut District and Land Office here on Wednesday.

On March 2, Ngiaw won the Outstanding Music Direction and Composition for an Animated Program award for her musical score in the animated series WondLa, which streams on Apple TV+.

Wan Rosdy said the balance of the plantation unit dividend will be paid after the cooperative’s annual general meeting scheduled for June 20 this year, while dividends on share capital will be distributed after approval from the Malaysia Cooperative Societies Commission (SKM).

Wan Rosdy, who is also the Jelai state assemblyman, said the distribution of plantation units and the Hari Raya bonus are expected to help members prepare for Aidilfitri.
