Tuaran: The Muafakat Titipan Amal Isteri Wakil Rakyat Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (Mutiara GRS) visited 71 residents of The Hope Village Elderly Care Centre on Thursday.
The centre, supported by 44 staff members, received donations including cash, daily necessities, wheelchairs and medical equipment to assist its management and ensure the residents’ welfare.
Mutiara GRS President, Datin Seri Panglima Datuk Juliah Salag, hoped the contributions would bring joy to the elderly while easing the workload of the staff.
She added that Mutiara GRS would continue expanding its welfare programmes, especially during festive seasons, to help more needy groups.
The Hope Village, which began operations in mid-2015, serves as a shelter and care centre for elderly individuals requiring close attention.
Also present was Mutiara GRS Vice President, Datin Seri Linda Ewit.
