KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Deputy Chief Minister II Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun underscored the need for continuous innovation and organisational renewal to ensure Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) remains resilient ahead of future political challenges.
Masidi, who is also GRS secretary-general and deputy president of Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah, warned that failure to adapt could weaken an organisation and lead to its decline.
“Future planning must be prioritised, including grooming capable and credible new leaders,” he said at a special briefing for division chiefs and state-level women and youth leaders at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) on Saturday.
He stressed that a well-structured party management system and strong grassroots leadership are essential, while advocating a team-based leadership approach over reliance on individual figures.
“Each division must function as a united leadership team to strengthen the party as a whole,” he said, adding that continuous reform and innovation are key to keeping the party relevant and prepared for upcoming elections.
