KUALA LUMPUR: HBO channels and HBO Max remain accessible to Malaysian audiences despite Astro’s decision to stop offering the channel from March, Warner Bros Discovery said, the
New Straits Times reported.
The global media company clarified that while its partnership model with certain providers is evolving, its core portfolio including HBO, Warner Bros and Discovery continues to be available in Malaysia.

It said the content is accessible through long-term partner Unifi TV and via direct-to-consumer streaming.
In a statement, the company affirmed its commitment to Malaysian audiences and said it will continue offering its portfolio of global brands across multiple platforms.
For streaming viewers, HBO Max is available through direct subscription on its official website and selected local partners.
Warner Bros said Malaysian audiences can expect premium global content in 2026, including HBO Originals such as
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,
The White Lotus and the upcoming new season of
House of the Dragon.
Popular series, including
Friends,
Rick and Morty and
The Big Bang Theory, as well as major Hollywood titles such as
One Battle After Another,
Sinners,
Jurassic World Rebirth,
A Minecraft Movie,
Harry Potter and
Final Destination, will also remain available.
