SEMPORNA: A non-permanent hall collapsed and crushed two nearby stilt houses in Kampung Air, Semporna, on Friday at 8.49pm.

The Fire and Rescue Department received the emergency call at 8.49pm and a team from Semporna overwater fire station, comprising six personnel, arrived at 8.55pm after travelling 7km to the scene.

The structure, which was built above water, involved six occupants from the affected houses, namely four adults and two children, all of whom managed to exit safely before the firefighters’ arrival, with no injuries reported, and the operation concluded at 10.03pm after inspections and debris removal were completed.
