The detainees—three men and five women from the Philippines and Indonesia—are suspected of being in Malaysia without valid travel documents under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63, the department said.
Sabah Immigration emphasized that enforcement operations will continue to ensure compliance with immigration laws and curb the presence of illegal immigrants.
