HANOI: A Vietnamese man returned a bag containing VND1 billion (about RM150,000) after finding it on an expressway in northern Vietnam,
VnExpress reported.
Nguyen Van Huan, 46, discovered the bag on Jan 23 while driving along an expressway in Ninh Binh Province and later worked with police to trace the owner.

Huan, who lives in Tien Luc Commune in Bac Ninh, said he was travelling to Hanoi with two companions around noon when he noticed a white sack lying in the middle of the road just past the Liem Tuyen toll station.
After stopping to retrieve it, he found 20 neatly packed bundles of VND50,000 notes inside the sack.
He immediately contacted the expressway traffic police and asked to review CCTV footage to determine which vehicle had dropped the bag.
One camera recorded a white sack falling from a pickup truck at the expressway entrance on Jan 23.
Meanwhile, Duong Thuy Van of Me Linh District, Hanoi, posted in traffic-related social media groups saying she was searching for a sack of cash withdrawn from a bank that had fallen from the bed of her pickup truck.
After confirming that the licence plate number and timeline matched, Huan contacted Van and returned the money to her at 5pm in the presence of local authorities, later saying: “It was someone else’s hard-earned money, and so I had to return it.”
