KOTA KINABALU: Sedco and Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu (DBKK) are working together to resolve long-standing technical and compliance issues at the SEDCO SME Industrial Park in Sepanggar, a legacy project delayed for years.
Following a directive by Sedco Chairman Datuk Masiung Banah to resolve legacy problems based on clear KPIs, Group General Manager Datuk Ar. James Wong and DBKK Planning and Development Director General Datuk Sr. Lifred Wong led a joint site visit to speed up coordination and decision-making.

Sedco said the project has shown strong recovery over the past year through stricter contractor monitoring and closer inter-agency cooperation.
The park is now in its final phase, with the Occupational Certificate targeted by Q2 2026.
Once completed, the industrial park will provide ready-built premises for local manufacturers and Bumiputera SMEs, supporting job creation and economic activity around the KKIP area.
