KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) will be hosting the Global Cooperation Forum on Feb 4-5, which aims to attract 800 participants, with 40pc of them coming from international delegations.
CEO Datuk Dr Rosmawati Lasuki highlighted that SICC is actively working to bring in investors, including a group from Monaco interested in investing in a multi-million-ringgit cruise hotel project to address the lack of accommodation in Sabah.

Additionally, SICC has introduced a Ramadan Buffet featuring a Nusantara-themed menu, offering 850 dishes from the Asean region in a Farm-to-Table concept.
“This aligns with SICC’s commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility,” she said.
Dr Rosmawati also mentioned that SICC is strengthening collaborations with federal and state agencies, including the Agricultural Department, FAMA (Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority), and LKIM (Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia).
“The goal is to source food supplies directly from local producers, benefiting farmers, fishermen, and local cooperatives through sustainable demand,” she added.
The centre is also collaborating with the Fiesta Mega Raya 2026, which will bring together local entrepreneurs.
SICC is offering several facilities during Ramadan, including a 280-seat VVIP area, Sahur services at Meranti Café and takeaway meals for visitors’ convenience.
