KOTA KINABALU: Kuamut assemblyman Datuk Masiung Banah (
pic) has been appointed the new chairman of Sabah Economic Development Corporation (Sedco) with ministerial status.
He replaces Kemabong assemblyman Datuk Rubin Balang, who has taken up the post of Sabah Rural Development Minister.

Masiung will continue to serve as chairman of Borneo Cement (S) Sdn Bhd, a position he held before the recent state election.
In a social media post, he thanked Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor for the trust placed in him and said he would carry out the responsibility with care in advancing the company and supporting Sabah’s development agenda.
