RANAU: A 10-tonne lorry plunged into a river after attempting to cross an old semi-wooden bridge in Kg Kawiyan, about two hours from Pekan Ranau, on Tuesday afternoon.

Both the driver and his assistant reportedly escaped without serious injuries.

Netizens criticised the driver’s decision to use the bridge, which was meant only for villagers and light vehicles.
