Tenom: Datuk Yong Oi Kiong, a member of the Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM), has resigned from his position on the KDM Supreme Council, effective from the date specified in his resignation letter.
In a statement, Yong explained that the decision was made after careful consideration, noting his need to focus on his health and other key responsibilities.
These include leading several associations and managing his business ventures, all of which require significant time and attention.
He highlighted that his age and physical well-being were key factors in his decision to step down, as he aims to streamline his commitments for the sake of his personal health, family life, and to ensure that he remains effective in all his roles.
Yong expressed his gratitude to the party leadership and members for their trust during his time on the KDM Supreme Council.
He also reaffirmed his confidence in the party’s leadership and wished KDM continued success and progress in the years ahead.
